Disney's Hollywood Studios Tickets - Access the Wonderful World of Disney
Parents planning a family vacation to Disney's Hollywood Studios may actually better know the park as Disney-MGM Studios, as that was the name it opened under on May 1, 1989. The 135-acre park was inspired by the Disney classics of the '30s and '40s. Disney's Hollywood Studios has been hot ever since it opened. In 2007, an estimated 9.51 million guests came through the park gates.
Disney's Hollywood Studios tickets allow families access to six uniquely themed areas. Unlike other parks Disney owns, this one does not have a defined layout but is more of a "what's around the next corner?" experience.
Hollywood Boulevard is the park's main entrance and features parades and live street entertainment. It is also where the Pixar Block Party Beach is held, as well. It is based on the same principle as Main Street U.S.A. within Magic Kingdom. At the end of the street you will find The Great Movie Ride attraction, featuring classic films such as Casablanca and The Wizard of Oz.
Another great part of the park is Echo Lake. It features several snack stands and unique rides. Star Tours is a motion simulator ride that is set in the Star Wars Universe. You'll also find the Jedi Training Academy where you can receive "light saber training." You also don't want to miss the Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular and Sounds Dangerous!, a 3-D audio presentation with Drew Carey. Many great attractions, such as these and others, await you with Disney's Hollywood Studios tickets.
There are also several classic movie sets to explore, such as Jim Henson's Muppet Vision 3D tour, "Honey, I Shrunk the Kids," Toy Story Mania, The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror, and more.
